Privacy Policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
Jesterlink is a web browser for Apple Watch and iPhone, with Walkie push-to-talk, games and reading tools. It's built to keep what you do to yourself. This page says exactly what it keeps, where, and how to get rid of it. We don't sell or share your information, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools.
Browsing stays on your devices
- Your history, favourites, open pages, saved articles, cookies and site data are kept only on your watch and iPhone. They are never sent to us. Jesterlink's browsing data is also separate from Safari's and every other app's.
- Private Browsing keeps no history, cookies or cache once you close it.
- The Fire button clears open pages, history, cookies, cache and site data in one tap. On iPhone you can have it happen automatically when you leave the app, and lock the app with Face ID.
- When you send a link from your iPhone to your watch, it goes directly between your own devices.
Protection from trackers
- Jesterlink blocks known ad, tracking and session-recording services, and removes tracking tags
(such as
utm_source,fbclidandgclid) from links before they load. - Pages are loaded over a secure connection (https) whenever the site has one.
- Every site is sent the Global Privacy Control signal, which asks it not to sell or share your information. In some places, sites are legally required to honour it.
- Searches go straight to the search engine you pick (DuckDuckGo unless you change it), and that engine's privacy policy applies to them. The sites you visit have their own policies too.
- Glance Feeds and reading tools (Speed Read, Listen, Save Offline) fetch articles directly from the publisher's site.
Walkie and online scores (only if you sign up)
Walkie and the online leaderboards need an account on our server at jesterlink.com. You don't need one to browse or play. If you make one, we keep:
- your username, display name, emoji and colour;
- your friends, friend invites and the people you block;
- your game scores (best, plays and wins);
- when you were last online, so friends can see if you're available;
- reports you make about another user (who, why and when), so we can review them.
Your sign-in key is stored on your devices in the iOS keychain and shared between your iPhone and watch. Our server only keeps a one-way fingerprint of it, which can't be turned back into the key. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location.
Voice is never stored
Walkie uses the microphone only while you hold the Talk button. Your voice is passed live to the friends or Lobby members you're talking to and is never recorded or saved to disk. While it's on its way it stays only in the server's memory, and anything not picked up within a minute is erased. Polly, the echo test, plays your clip back to you once and then forgets it.
Our server
- Your IP address is used briefly in memory to limit abuse (such as mass sign-ups) and is forgotten within a day. Our request log doesn't record IP addresses or what you searched for.
- Error logs, which can include an IP address, and the request log are deleted after 14 days.
- The database is copied every night so it can be restored after a failure. Each copy is deleted after 14 days.
- Everything travels encrypted (https). The server is in the United States.
Deleting your information
- On your devices: use the Fire button, clear history, or delete the app.
- Walkie account: Walkie Settings → Delete Account removes your account, profile, friends, blocks and scores straight away. Nightly copies age out within 14 days. Reports are kept as long as needed to deal with them.
- You can also email us and we'll delete your account for you.
Children
Jesterlink isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has made a Walkie account, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
